Wildflower Report :

The festival started on Saturday with the Long Course race, James Cotter and Amanda Felder racing with the tough PRO field and placing really well with 3 weeks and one week respectively of training for long distance !!

James Cotter coming of a win at Lavaman Triathlon and a 2nd place at the Half Ironman in Austin had no long distance training coming into to Wildflower since he decided to do both races only after Lavaman. Battling a very strong field, James managed to finish a respectable 12th overall beating big names of the long course "tri scene".

Amanda Felder had an awesome swim, positioned herself with the top 5 and a flat tire.... With a broken Co2 she had to wait for assistance and the chance of finishing top 10 was gone... After getting a new wheel she got back on the bike and fought hard to finish 13th overall only few minutes from top 10. Amanda had NO training for half ironman going to Widflower...

On Sunday we had the Collegiate and the Amateur race. All started with Collegiate men, where Chris Burnham (stil injured and with no running training at all) finished 4th. Then we had the girls... Lauren 1st, Alison 2nd, Darlene 3rd and Michelle 4th enough said I guess?

At the Age gorup race, one of the most competitive races in the country, Ki Song had a mechanical on the bike but still managed a PR, Jennifer Irrgang faced her "water fear" for a great race as well, good job guys !!!
