Quick Hydration Elixir

Nutrition, July 21, 2016

NO junk- just the natural, healthy things you need to restore hydration, electrolytes, and keep you going- before, during, and after training...Taken from the ancient healing of Ayurveda, this drink has been hydrating people for centuries before gatorade...

Ingredients

- 2 limes- juiced
-10 fresh mint leaves (organic if available)
-1 Tablespoon of raw honey (can use agave if necessary, but raw honey has an awesome blend of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, antioxidants, phytonutirents, bee pollen and propolis)
-1/8th Teaspoon of pink himalayan sea salt if available (can substitute regular sea salt if necessary, but the pink salt contains about 60-65 trace minerals that will help you balance blood pressure and improve cardiovascular function)
- 1 quart of filtered water

Instructions

Blend all ingredients until mint leaves are very tiny ( you can double the recipe for more if you are having heavy training/sweat day)

We keep this made to take on the bike, or chill in fridge overnight before a hard training day. Make as fresh as you can, it will not keep for long (1-2 days max) as there are no preservatives and this tastes delicious straight out of the blender!

Drink UP!!
